THE GODDESS OF WINES HOME PAGE
Welcome to the Goddess Of Wines Website.
The Goddess Of Wines website contains articles of interest, recipes, tips on Wine pairings, and a Wine Shop where you can find a variety of Wine items. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your visit here and drop by again in the future.
With such a large selection of different Wines available you could probably enjoy a different bottle a day for the rest of your life. Each week The Godess Of Wines website will share information about Wine Trails. Wine Trails can be a fun way to try different Wines and spend time with friends. If you have not considered a Wine Trail Pass it can be a great way to visit more than one Winery. A Wine Trail Pass covers a tasting fee for a one-time visit. Participating Wineries will often stamp your “Wine Trail Passport” at each Winery and may even earn you a gift upon completion or a discount on a purchase. Whether local or on a vacation a Wine Trail Pass can be a great way to visit more than one Winery.
JUNE 1st, 2022:
The Summer Solstice occurs on June 21st and marks the beginning of Summer. Temperatures become warmer and the days longer. The word “solstice” comes from Latin solstitium-from sol (Sun) and stitium (still or stopped). The June solstice is not based on a specific calendar date or time. It depends on when the Sun reaches it's northernmost point from the celestial equator. Therefore, the solstice won’t always occur on the same day. Currently, it shifts between June 20, 21, and 22.
Summer can be a time for a bonfire with good friends, toasting marshmallows and some star gazing. Other summer activities could include attending fairs or festivals, an out door concert, sailing or kayaking, hiking in a state park. Don't forget farmers markets will also be open. What ever activity you choose always use safety procedures and follow safety policies.
Can Wine Be Seasonal?
Sure it can. Summer foods generally tend to be lighter. Some choices to consider might be a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.
