The Summer Solstice occurs on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. The days will get longer and the nights will be a little cooler. It can be a time to get together with friends and family to enjoy the outdoors. Nothing says summer like a steak fresh off the trusty grill or a batch of fresh steamed crabs. A steal should have a coarse marbling of milky white fat running through it. If the fat has a brown or yellow tint it may be a sign that it is old and dry. Also avoid meat with large clumps of fat. The large clumps can be greasy and cause flare-ups. In regards to crabs, ask anyone from Maryland and they will probably tell you there is only one way to cook crab. That is to steam it. If you are planning on purchasing live crabs look for the friskiest ones.
